Best Ever Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies

Crispy edges, soft chewy center, the last choco chip cookie recipe you'll ever need

Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 4 cups flour (608g)
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips (1 regular size package, 400g)
Wet Ingredients
  • 3 sticks butter (salted & softened) (1 1/2 cups or 334g)
  • 1 cup sugar (230g)
  • 1 cup brown sugar (246g)
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°
  2. Cream together butter and sugars till light and fluffy in electric mixer.
  3. Scrape down the sides and add eggs one at a time and vanilla and almond extracts.
  4. Add in dry ingredients till just mixed.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips
  6. Scoop dough out in 1 inch balls, slightly flattened on cookie sheet lined with parchment
  7. Bake at 350° F for 8-10 minutes till cookies are just beginning to turn golden at the edges.
  8. (DO NOT OVERBAKE) they will look puffy, and then fall as they cool on the sheet. Wait till completely cooled to transfer and store. Freezes great!
  9. PRO TIP: When they first come out of the oven, gently press M&M's into the the top for a pretty twist!
