Method
- Whisk together Dry Ingredients, (flour, baking soda, salt, ginger, cloves, and cinnamon.)
- Cream butter, shortening, and sugar.
- Beat in molasses, eggs, and vanilla.
- Stir in dry ingredients until just blended.
- Roll into 1 ½-inch balls, coat in sugar, and place on cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes, or just till tops crack. Cool before serving.
